The Chandra Deep Field-south Survey: 2 Ms Source Catalogs
We present point-source catalogs for the ≈ 2 Ms exposure of the Chandra Deep Field-South (CDF-S); this is one of the two most-sensitive X-ray surveys ever performed. The survey covers an area of ≈ 436 arcmin2 and reaches on-axis sensitivity limits of ≈ 1.9× 10−17 and ≈ 1.3× 10−16 ergs cm−2 s−1 for the 0.5–2.0 and 2–8 keV bands, respectively. Four hundred and sixty-two X-ray point sources are de...
متن کاملMock Catalogs for the Deep2 Redshift Survey
We present a set of mock redshift catalogs, constructed from N-body simulations, designed to mimic the DEEP2 survey. Galaxies with a range of luminosities are placed within virialized halos in the simulation using a variant of the halo model. The halo model parameters are chosen to reproduce local clustering and abundance data and assumed to be independent of redshift. This allows us to predict...
متن کاملMultivendor Catalogs: Smart Catalogs and Virtual Catalogs
We discuss how distributed multivendor catalogs can be created and used by multiple retailers. Currently, there are a variety of proprietary approaches to electronic catalogs. These include WWW catalogs built with stovepipe architectures that allow only one catalog to be used at a time. Also, proprietary catalogs are created using EDI 832 transactions that limit flexibility and technological gr...
متن کاملSmart Catalogs and Virtual Catalogs
We present an architecture for electronic catalogs, called Smart Catalogs and Virtual Catalogs. Smart catalogs are searchable, annotated combinations of machine-readable (i.e., minimally processable) and machine-sensible (i.e., actually understood by the computer) product data. Virtual catalogs dynamically retrieve information from multiple smart catalogs and present this product data in a unif...
متن کاملGalaxy Correlation Statistics of Mock Catalogs for the Deep2 Survey
The DEEP2 project will obtain redshifts for ∼60,000 galaxies between z ≃ 0.7–1.5 in a comoving volume of roughly 7 10 Mpc h for a ΛCDM universe. The survey will map four separate 2 by 0.5 strips of the sky. To study the expected clustering within the survey volume, we have constructed mock galaxy catalogs from the GIF and Hubble Volume simulations developed by the Virgo consortium. We present t...
